Edward M. Kopko has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Butler International, Inc., since January 1987. He also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's operating subsidiaries including Butler Technology, Butler Telecom, and previously Butler Aviation.
Butler International is a leading, worldwide provider of technical and technology services, helping companies in the aircraft, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and financial services industries address business changes seamlessly. Through 3,800 employees, Butler serves industry-leading clients worldwide, including BellSouth, Boeing, Caterpillar, Citigroup, Los Alamos National Laboratories, Merrill Lynch, Nortel Networks, Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Lockheed, Verizon and many others.
Mr. Kopko is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CE Group and Chief Executive magazine. of which he is also Publisher. Chief Executive magazine is a leading publication that has been devoted to publishing articles on strategy and issues for Chief Executives for over 27 years.
He holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Connecticut, an M.A. in economics from Columbia University.
George Georgiou as Senior Vice President of Butler's Communications Industry Group, George is responsible for setting and executing the strategy to ensure ongoing growth of clients and revenues. He is responsible for all existing customers, business development and profitability within the group.
George joined Butler in August 2005 as Vice President of Sales and was promoted to Senior Vice President in November 2006. George has a 23-year track record of leading professional and customer centric sales organizations. He has served in the telecommunications industry his entire career, and has held senior sales and sales management positions with Sprint, Harris Corporation, 2Wire and Intelis.
George holds a National Diploma in Business Administration from Hammersmith and West London College. He has also completed a General Management and Executive Development program at the Wharton School of Business. George currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Make A Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama.
Mike McHugh has recently rejoined Butler International as Senior Vice President of both the Federal/Defense and Commercial Industry Groups where he will focus on business growth in both groups. Mike leads the groups from our Washington, DC office. Before joining Butler International, Mike served as Vice President Defense Group for BAE Systems based in Herndon, VA. Mike directed an organization of 800 employees and contractors generating over $130M in annual revenue.
Mike entered Federal Civil Service in 1987 as Interim Deputy Branch Chief, Space Station Freedom Program Office, NASA. At NASA he was responsible for defining telecommunication services and operations of the information systems for the Level II Space Station. In 1989 Mike joined I-NET and spent the next 10 years developing and delivering a wide range of IT solutions for DOD, federal civilian agencies and commercial organizations. In 1998 Mike joined Butler International as Sr. Vice President of the Technology Solutions Division. During his next five years at Butler International, Mike managed all areas of business operations and delivered technical solutions primarily to the financial, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. In 2003, Mike joined DigitalNet (acquired by BAE in 2004) where he served as Vice President Defense Group.
Mike holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from Old Dominion University.
Gerald Simone (CPA, Executive MBA) is Butler's Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting. Mr. Simone oversees the financial, business analytics and process infrastructure to support the organization. Mr. Simone ensures a disciplined framework exists for sound financial analysis and decision-making.
Mr. Simone held the financial position of Vice President-Business Services of Butler International from 1995 to 2001.
Since 2001, Mr. Simone held financial positions at various large corporations, including at Hudson Global Resources, where he served as Controller/VP – North American operations and Citi Mortgage, a division of CitiGroup, where he served as Vice President Operational Accounting.
Mr. Simone is a CPA and received his MBA from Washington University.
Bob O'Flynn is responsible for Butler International's global delivery services and Butler's recruiting services team. His responsibilities include delivering technology services to multinational organizations around the globe. Technology services under Bob's leadership include Engineering, Installation and Maintenance and Information Technology. The recruiting services team provides world-class candidates to Butler's customers using state-of-the-art recruiting technology, well-defined processes and a seasoned global recruiting force.
Bob joined Butler International in 1999 as Regional Solutions Manager. He has served in a number of roles at Butler including Regional Sales Director, and Vice President of Technology Solutions leading to his current position as Senior Vice President - Global Service Delivery.
Bob began his career in Information Technology as Data Processing Manager for a national insurance company. Prior to joining Butler, he was Director of Sales for Wang Laboratories (Eastern Region). Bob attended Union County College.
Mr. Paras has 18 years experience of planning, research, negotiation, conflict resolution, and legal counsel in diverse corporate environment. Awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the New York Law School, Magna Cum Laude-Class rank 3/56. Recipient John Ben Snow Scholarship based on Academic Merit. Legal expertise is supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brooklyn College. Richard has enhanced his academic and professional skills with additional training in human resource management issues, negotiations, contract management, risk management, negotiations, communications, business operations, marketing, and computer based business applications.
Jim Von Bampus has come out of retirement to rejoin Butler International as Vice President of Human Resources. From 1994 through 2003, Jim served as SVP of Butler Fleet Services. In 2006 as a consultant to Butler, Jim began a reorganization of the human resource function to provide for more efficient and effective services to the company's employees. As VP of Human Resources, Jim is aligning the human resource function with the vision and growth objectives of the company. During his career, Jim has served in many key human resource and executive roles such as Director of Human Resources for the Restaurant Operations Division of Burger King, VP of Human Resources for Ryder's Dedicated Contract Carriage Division and President for Western Greyhound.
Jim Floody is responsible for concepting, crafting and implementing innovative, strategic marketing solutions for Butler International. Jim leads a diverse team of international marketing professionals focused building brand awareness, corporate communications, market analysis, creative development, direct marketing, and interactive marketing programs
Jim joined Butler International in 2007. Prior to joining Butler, he has held leadership roles in consulting and agency environments, including 34 North and Freebairn & Co. Jim was a principal at 34 North, and was Senior Vice President of Freebairn & Company.
Jim holds a BA from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University.
